Bespoke pieces

My bespoke design service offers the opportunity to collaborate closely, allowing me to create a unique piece tailored specifically to you.

Some of the bespoke pieces I create are variations of my existing designs, customised to your preferences—whether that’s a different type, shape, or size of stone, or an altered width or profile for the ring band. Other pieces are entirely new designs, inspired by the style of my current collections.

I love to create engagement, wedding, and eternity jewellery, with a particular passion for remodelling existing pieces with sentimental value, giving them a fresh lease of life.

How does the bespoke process work?

Design

It starts with an initial design consultation. This can be face to face, over the phone or via video call and is free of charge. We will discuss what you have in mind. At this point, it’s useful for you to have an idea of the following things:

  • Design ideas or inspiration – any photos or drawings of pieces you like the style of are really helpful
  • Precious metal choice – I work in gold, silver, platinum or palladium
  • Stone types, colours and shapes, if applicable
  • Timescale
  • Budget (see below for some examples of prices for recent bespoke pieces)

For some pieces, I create a computer aided design (CAD) model and can send you images and/or videos of your design.

If the design is complex or time consuming, I may request a deposit at this stage.

Deposit

Once your design has been finalised, I ask for a 50% deposit before I start making it.

Timeline

It can take from a few weeks upwards, depending upon the complexity of the piece. Typically, bespoke pieces take between 4 and 8 weeks from the finalisation of design. We can discuss expected timelines when discussing the design.

Making

Depending upon the design, I will either make the piece fully by hand, or partly/fully using CAD and 3D printing.

Your finished piece

The balance is due when your piece is ready for collection or delivery.

Price guidelines and examples

Below are some examples of bespoke pieces I’ve made with approximate prices.  Please note, I update these prices every few months to reflect the fluctuations in precious metal and stone prices. If you’re interested in a specific piece, or something similar, please get in touch to get the most accurate price.

Pear shaped green tourmaline ring

Wide ring band with rubover set with a large pear shaped olive green tourmaline (11 x 7.5 mm). The stone was the customer's own, so these prices below do not include the price of the stone.
